Is buying wine or wine accessories on eBay safe?
Shopping at eBay is no different than shopping anywhere else. Whenever you are getting ready to part with your hard earned money, you will want to be cautious.
I personally have been buying and selling through eBay ever since there was an eBay. My wife is a Powerseller. She sells things just about everyday and has never had a problem.
What should you look for? FEEDBACK! All sellers have feedback from previous customers. The more positive feedback, the better. And obviously some people would leave negative feedback if you sold them a pound of gold for a dollar. So keep that in mind. But if a seller has a lot of positive feedback, you should feel safe enough to make a purchase. And obviously the more feedback, the better.
So why are these people selling things so cheap on eBay? TRAFFIC and NO OVERHEAD! eBay is the 22nd most visited site on the internet. Millions of visitors and buyers. I can’t confirm, but I read that there is over 86 million dollars spent each day on eBay! Somebody must be liking it!
The other thing is that they have been doing this since 1995. I think that they have it down to a science by now.
So if you see an item and you are hesitant, send the seller an email. They should be able to put you at ease.
